THE RELATION BETWEEN ADOLESCENT KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF SECOND GRADE STUDENTS ABOUT ADOLESCENT REPRODUCTION HEALTH AND FREE SEX BEHAVIOR IN SMA NEGERI 1 GRABAG MAGELANG

ABSTRACTIONS

Background : Adolescent is a transitional period which is marked by increasing interest on sex adolescents often search for information about sex from source without filter. Adolescents must have proper knowledge about sex, because knowledge is important in creating a certain pattern of behavior. Based on early study in SMA N 1 Grabag Magelang, in the last 5 years  6 students quit from school because of pre-marriage pregnancy.
Research’s aim : To find out the relation between knowledge level about adolescents reproduction health and free sex behavior in SMA N 1 Grabag Magelang.
Research’s method : This research uses non experimental analitycal descriptive method whit cross sectional approach. Research subject are second grade student of SMA N 1 Grabag Magelang. Population are 181students and sample are 70 students.
Research’s results:  Most of respondent have good knowledge level about adolescent reproduction health as many as 52 students (74,29%) most of respondent who have free sex behavior are in non-risk. Category as many as 53 students (75,71%). Research’s results shows that there is a relation between knowledge about adolescent reproduction health and free sex behavior. It is expressed by the result of research analysis that shows that value correlation: -,505. Spearman’s rho analysis stated that if the value is negative, so  there is a contra-current correlation. Which means that the higher persons knowledge level, the more un risky for them to have free sex behavior. This is indicated by the value of counting significance which is lower than significance 0,05 (0,00< 0,05).
Conclusion : There is a relation between adolescent knowledge level about adolescent reproduction health and free sex behavior.
